Sunday, June 7th @ 11:00 AM will be our first re-gathering together worship service! We will only start with the worship service and add more activities/ministries as we go. Please be patient with us as we navigate through this time.
Also, be aware that Mendenhall Loop Road construction is beginning this week and may temporarily alter our front entrance accessibility. During this time we will open the gate on the north end of the building during Sunday morning worship times so there is access from the back of the Church (Bresee Street entrance). We need your help!
May is a 5 Sunday month! Normally, we would have a Singspiration that Sunday, sharing our favorite music and songs with our church family, and this month is no exception! So, if you'd like to be a part of the service, please send us a video of you singing or playing a song! You can record it on your phone, laptop, or camera, and then send it to Pastor Dan through email, text, or Facebook messenger! Pastor is also willing to record your video at the church. If we could have them in by Sunday, May 24th, he can have time to put them all together for the service. If you have any questions, you can contact Freddy Cummins. Looking forward to seeing your videos! Drive-Through Communion - Next opportunity will be Sunday, May 10th, from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PMAlthough the church building may be closed, the church is alive and well! There are still ways to connect with your church family during this time of isolation. Here is what our church is up to:Thursdays -
Tuesday & Sunday -
Sunday Morning -
Drive-Through Communion - Next opportunity will be Sunday, May 10th, from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM This will certainly be like no Easter we have had before! While we may be stuck at home, we can still come together online to celebrate our risen Savior. May we use this time to cut out all the distractions and really focus on the reason we celebrate. Death is defeated, and Christ is alive! Holy Week ScheduleEach day: Watch for "Eyewitness Bible Series" videos.
Thursday: "Drive-Up Communion and Prayer" 5:30-7 p.m. at the front church parking lot, from your car. Friday: 7 p.m. "Good Friday Service" online. Sunday: 8 a.m. "Sonrise Service" online (from the glacier) 11 a.m. "Resurrection Sunday Worship Service" online. Our lives have certainly been full of life-altering changes these past couple weeks. Since the coronavirus has come to Alaska, this week, even more drastic changes have been happening in lives all across Alaska.
One major change that has affected the church is the cancellation of our “in-person” church services. We are also cancelling “in-person” Bible Studies and worship services until further notice. It is uncertain how long this will be, but we can anticipate weeks, at least. It is really about protecting our vulnerable loved ones and our neighbors. In lieu of “in-person” worship services, we will begin livestreaming our morning worship service this Sunday morning at 11:00 AM. Although it will only be our worship team and Pastor Dan preaching, we trust that many will join us on the church’s Facebook page. You should be able to do this even if you do not have a Facebook account. Another alternative will be watching the recorded serviceposted on here later on Sunday. We are also looking into more platforms besides Facebook. Though we are unable to meet together in person, the church’s ministry will still go on, though in a different format. Thus, the church is still in need of your support through tithes and offerings. There are several methods you can give. You can mail a check to PO Box 32360, Juneau, 99803. You can text give to 907-312-2755. When you do it the first time, you will be guided through a process of setting up regular giving options. Or you can give through a link on our church website. Should you have prayer requests, you can email them to Pastor Dan at [email protected] or through a message sent through the church website. Calling the church at 907-789-2724 also works. Leave a message if no one is available. As the saying goes, “We have never done it like this before,” so bear with us as we work through ways of finding effective ministry. We welcome new ideas. God bless you! Please join us in celebrating the birth of our Saviour on December 24th at 6:00pm.
We look forward to worshing with you! When: Saturday December 21st at 2:00pm
Where: Gina Michael's at 9170 Riverwood Drive RSVP by December 14th Contact Gina 957-2990 or Judy 723-7300 for further details. Come for fun and goodies! See you there! This year the Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at Auke Bay Bible Church on Wednesday, November 27th, at 7:00 PM. Join us as we come together with other congregations in Juneau for a time of praise, prayer, and thanksgiving!
There will be no Wednesday Bible Study on the 27th, or Thursday night Bible Studies on the 28th. It is Operation Christmas Child time again! There are boxes available in the church foyer. Fill 'em up! Bring them back on or before November 10th to bless a child in a needy area of the world.Restricted items: No toothpaste, candy or liquids please. |
