Job: 40/40 Church Planter
Location: Antofagasta, Chile
I have always loved traveling ever since I was a little girl, and have a passion for helping others. When I was invited to the Nazarene church in 2011 I was not a "true" Christian, but I saw a very different church with people who love Jesus very much. In this church, there were people who want to share and Jesus cared what he was doing in his relationship with God. It was a family and I wanted that. In 2011 (At NYC) I accepted God into my heart and started a new chapter in my life.
I went on a month long missions trip to Peru in 2012 but I didn't make a lot of changes in my life until 2013. I had the opportunity to work at Echo Ranch Bible Camp as a camp cook. From this one summer God radically changed my mentality about helping others and began the process of preparing me for the life of a missionary. When I got a call in 2014 about joining Extreme, I was a mix of emotions but in the end I knew that God was challenging me to do something more with my life.
Ever since that phone call, God has been growing me into the person he wants me to be; I was involved in multiple Bible studies, prayer groups, or working in the church. I was able to learn more about my attitude and personality in God. Before coming to South America God made me a new person with love for the world. I am hungry to learn more about the Bible, cultures, missions, and the power of prayer. At this time of my life, I have confidence that God will do great things for His children and that He always prepares the way for us.
Psalms 23:4 - "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death (uncertainty), I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
