Covid-19 Guidelines

10/16/2020

We have all been anxious for things to get back to normal.  However, the risk of Covid-19 is still high as there are active case in Juneau.  Please be safe and help others be safe and feel safe (even if you do not have any symptoms) by following these guidelines.  We would not want people to stay away from church because of unsafe practices increasing risk of exposure.

Please read these guidelines:

If you are feeling ill, symptoms of cough, fever, runny nose, etc., please stay home and watch our service online.  If you are vulnerable to this virus, you are welcome to stay home and watch online.  Even though we would love to have you join us, we want you to be safe from illness that could be potentially serious.

We will not have Sunday School classes, nursery, children’s church or Sunday Evening services in the beginning while we figure out how all this is going to work.  We will introduce these back into our schedule as soon as we can.

The expectation is that everyone will wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least 6 feet.

Hand sanitizer and extra masks will be available.

Minimize the places you touch as you enter the building.  Doors will be propped open prior to the service.

Physical Contact - As difficult as it may be, please avoid handshakes and hugs for the present time.

Bulletins - We will continue to email bulletins.  We will have a few printed bulletins for visitors and those for whom we do not have email addresses.  We will also post a bulletin on the bulletin board if you want to take a picture on your phone.

For better ventilation, we will have some of the sanctuary and foyer windows opened to minimize potential exposure.  Dress accordingly.

When you enter the foyer, we would like for you to continue into the sanctuary and find seating.

Seating - Every other pew will be blocked off (sorry If that is your favorite pew) to maintain social distance.  When you are seated with other people in your row, maintain a safe distance.

Children – Until we have nursery and children’s church parents are responsible to keep their children with them.

Masks -  We ask that you keep your masks on during the service as singing projects particles further than simply speaking.  Keep your neighbor safe.

Offering receptacles will be placed in the back of the sanctuary and also at the front.  We will not be passing the plates.
Please use good handwashing and hygiene methods in the restrooms.  Minimize touch areas by using paper towels to open doors.
When dismissed at the end of worship, you may exit the front doors or through the foyer.  We prefer if you would visit outside, maintaining 6-feet physical distancing, and not have a lot of people congregate in the foyer.

Hand sanitizer will be available in the foyer and at the front exit of the sanctuary for you to use as you exit the sanctuary.

Your cooperation and willingness to help minimize the risk of asymptomatic exposure to others will help us continue to meet together for worship and other ministry activities.
